PSG are close to signing Ousmane Dembele from Barca and Goncalo Ramos from Benfica.
The Parisians will sign Dembele and Ramos in the next hours or days. PSG plan to close deals for these players by the end of the week.
To complete the transition, Goncalo had to settle only small details. The deal will close very soon. The medical examination may take place in the coming days.
PSG to sign Ramos and Dembele this week
According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain hopes to finalize the contracts of Gonçalo Ramos (22) and Ousmane Dembélé (26) by the end of the week.
This week, PSG activated Dembélé’s €50 million release clause in his Barcelona contract. This allows PSG five days to work out better payment arrangements with the Catalan club. Otherwise, the release clause will be paid in one lump sum. According to Fabrice Hawkins, it is only a matter of time before the France international signs with Les Parisiens, and when he does, he will sign a five-year contract.
According to RMC Sport and Le Parisien on Wednesday, PSG is also on the verge of adding another striker reinforcement. Les Parisiens have long been interested in acquiring Harry Kane, but as their prospects of landing the England captain dwindled, their focus shifted to Benfica’s Ramos.
According to French media reports, the Portuguese attacker has already agreed to personal terms with PSG. Romano adds that an arrangement with Benfica is also nearing completion. The total value of the transaction, including add-ons, is roughly €80 million. Both Ramos and Dembélé will join PSG, and the former may have his physical in the following days, with both transactions expected to be completed by the end of the week.
