The Nepal men’s national cricket team squad is ready for the Asia Cup 2023.
The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has announced the roster for the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023. The Asia Cup 2023 will be held in a hybrid format in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Team Nepal will be represented by a 17-man squad led by Rohit Paudel in the country’s first Asia Cup appearance.
Shyam Dhakal, Sundeep Jora, Kishore Mahato, and Arjun Saud have all firmly established themselves in the squad. Surya Tamang and Dev Khanal, on the other hand, are out. Nepal will fly to Pakistan sooner than planned to train for the Asia Cup. The Nepalese team will arrive in Pakistan on August 22, two days ahead of schedule. They will train in Karachi from the 22nd to the 26th of August.
Team Nepal will fly to Multan on August 27 after a practice in Karachi. They will face Pakistan in the first match of the Asia Cup 2023 on August 30. The teams will then proceed to Sri Lanka to play a match versus India.
On September 4, Nepal will meet India in Kandy. Meanwhile, the much-anticipated India-Pakistan match is set on September 2.
The 13-match competition will feature Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Group A includes Pakistan, Nepal, and India, while Group B includes Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
