The Premier League announces Transfer Windows dates

The Premier League has confirmed that the summer transfer window for 2023 will start on Wednesday, June 14.

The news comes less than a week after the EFL stated that teams in the Championship, League One, and League Two will be able to begin registering players on the same day. The Premier League, like the EFL, has announced that the window will end on Friday, September 1.

As in recent years, the window will close at 11 p.m. BST that evening, giving teams in England’s top four levels more than two months to conclude their summer transfer business. The Premier League has confirmed the dates for next season’s transfer windows

Meanwhile, the Premier League has confirmed that the winter transfer window for 2024 will start on Monday, January 1 and finish on Thursday, February 1. Like in the summer, the deadline for completed transactions will be 11 p.m. BST.

The Premier League stated in a statement, “To ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe, the closing dates were set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, LaLiga, and LFP, who will all close their Summer and Winter windows on September 1 and February 1 respectively.”

Manchester United are preparing to bring in new faces, including a striker, and unload many members of their team during the next summer transfer window. The Reds spent more than £200 million last summer after securing high-profile acquisitions such as Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, and Antony.

Manchester City, however, spent big last summer, bringing in players like Kalvin Phillips and Erling Haaland. It’s unclear what they want to do this summer to bolster Pep Guardiola’s title-winning side.
