The Transfer Saga of Kylian Mbappe (PSG) continues.
“The agreement has been approved by the Emir of Qatar himself.”
The Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid transfer speculation has been ongoing for several years. It’s no secret that the Frenchman grew up idolizing Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid. And he has always appeared to be headed for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. That, however, has never happened for one reason or another.
Mbappe has seemed closer to leaving PSG this summer than at any other point in his career. The Ligue 1 champions have stated that he must sign a contract extension or depart during the current transfer window.
It is not difficult to comprehend PSG’s position. Mbappe’s current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and the club does not want to lose him as a free agent.
Unsurprisingly, rumors of a transfer to Real Madrid have circulated. However, it appears like PSG would go to any length to ensure that he signs a new contract and remains in the French capital.
The Transfer Saga: Mbappe allegedly turned down a €1 billion contract from Real Madrid.
According to Defensa Central (via GOAL), PSG has offered an incredible offer to Mbappe. A €1 billion 10-year deal is on the table.
If Mbappe signs such a deal, it will last until he is 34 years old. That would be the majority of his career, and a future move to Real Madrid would be very impossible under those conditions.
It remains to be seen how the Mbappe transfer story unfolds from here on out. There have been several twists and turns over the years, and more should be expected.
If Mbappe leaves PSG this summer or next, Real Madrid appears to be his most likely destination. He’s also in link with Liverpool and Arsenal, among others.
