Thibaut Courtois to make his return from injury?

Thibaut Courtois 'likely to return for next week match against Cadiz'

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti startled the media by stating that Thibaut Courtois might return to action as soon as next week. The Belgian goalie was ruled out for the rest of the season due to a meniscus tear in his knee, but he healed quickly.

Courtois was expected to be out for the remainder of the season, with an initial diagnosis of 6 weeks to 3 months following surgery.

Days before the season started, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament, and he was recovering when he  suffered the injury.

The 31-year-old could return in about a month from his injury.

“I need to think carefully about the lineup. The wear and tear have been substantial. I need to think about things. I also have to mention that Courtois is OK, and I believe he will be available next week. “He could play against Cadiz.”

Thibaut Courtois injury update

Belgian goalkeeper sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in pre-season.

Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid’s standout goalkeeper, suffered an injury at the beginning of the La Liga  season.

Courtois appeared to be returning to duty at the end of March 2024. But a fresh knee ailment kept him out of commission once more.

Courtois had an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee in August 2023 and, following immediate surgery, spent seven months on the sidelines before returning to team training in March 2024.

Unfortunately, Madrid has confirmed that Courtois has torn the meniscus in his opposite knee, putting the Belgian on the sidelines for a little longer.
