Wolfsburg is willing to spend big money again on Lovro Majer. After spending a club record €36 million to sign Julian Draxler in 2015 this will be their second expensive signing.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the German club is close to signing the player from Ligue 1 squad Rennes. Majer will be the club’s second most costly signing in its history.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolfsburg and Rennes are nearing an agreement on a fee package worth more than €30 million.
The tweet also stated that medical tests for the athlete are being set, and that the agreement will be finalized after the last elements are worked out. Wolfsburg’s investment on the 25-year-old demonstrates the club’s confidence in him.
Once Wolfsburg completes the acquisition of Lovro Majer, it is easy to conclude that the player will be a useful addition to their roster.
Majer wowed everyone with 9 goals and 16 assists in 79 games for Rennes. During his tenure at the French club, he put in some excellent performances in the center of the field that drew the attention of a number of clubs.
