A young boy was arrested in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, suspected of attempting to rob the private home of Sergio Rico last November.
Sergio Rico’s house was nearly robbed by a younf boy on Sunday

Young boy of 17-year-old Parisian high schooler was apprehended on Wednesday. Following the burglary of PSG Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico, he was arrested. PSG defeated Auxerre (5-0) in its final game before the World Cup on November 13th. Rico, an unused substitute, returned home with his partner in the afternoon following the victory. He then caught the burglar in the act, forcing him to drop his spoils-laden backpack. It contained 35 000 € in jewels and four luxury watches.

But, perhaps more importantly, a cell phone was discovered in the backpack. The crime unit discovered that the burglar had filmed himself while stealing the phone. The 17-year-old was previously known to police and was identified through DNA analysis found on the scene. The young burglar confessed to the burglary after being apprehended and taken into police custody. He has been released under judicial supervision and will be tried in juvenile court next May.

Burglary of players’ homes has been a persistent problem for PSG in recent years. On the same night in March 2021, burglars targeted the homes of ngel Di Mara and Marquinhos’ father.

Following his confession, the Young boy, a high school student, was brought before a magistrate of the youth prosecutor’s office in Paris last night. He has been released under judicial supervision and will be tried in juvenile court in May. This is not the first time this has happened to PSG employees, as Mary stated. They had recently witnessed this type of theft.
