Real Betis have plenty of effective attacking options that the vast majority of La Liga clubs would envy. However, some of them have underperformed this season, with Luiz Henrique leading the way.
The 22-year-old had an outstanding 2022-23 season with Betis, which he joined from Fluminense in the summer of 2022. However, he has struggled mightily this season, and he has fallen out of favor with head coach Manuel Pellegrini.
According to Estadio Deportivo, Betis officials have reached an agreement on Henrique’s future at the club. They want to sell him during the winter transfer window, as a loan is insufficient for club executives.
Flamengo are interested in bringing Henrique back to Brazil, but have only proposed a loan (which Real Betis has rejected). At this point, staying in Europe appears to be the most likely option, though no suitors have come forward.
