Stefan Savić, an experienced center-back, will remain at Atlético Madrid for the upcoming season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the club has exercised the Montenegrin footballer’s automatic contract extension option for the upcoming season. His previous deal with the club was due to end in June of this year.
Yesterday, it was also reported that Atlético have renewed Cesar Azpilicueta’s contract.
Stefan Savić is a legend at Atlético. He has been with Madrid since the summer of 2015, when he moved from Fiorentina for €12 million. Savić has played 288 matches for Diego Simeone’s squad, scoring 3 goals.
In the current season, the seasoned center-back has appeared in 24 matches across multiple leagues.
